Consistent with our desire to create community, we have taken many steps to remove barriers between ourselves and all our friends who live here.
We have removed many fences between the properties.
There is an organic community garden (fruit, vegetable & flower) that runs throughout all four properties. In the summer at least half a dozen people (by their own choice) contribute to this joint effort
There is a community deck with a grill for tenant use
There is a dog pen for public use
There are dogs & cats throughout the properties
We compost
Our current tenant/community mix is varied. It ranges in age from people in their early 20s through their 60s. It is also diverse by gender, race & sexual orientation. We do not discriminate. As long as people are open to the concept of sharing community and getting to know their neighbors, we will consider them as neighbors.
If you are an openminded person, the type of person who likes to share community with others, this may be a wonderful opportunity for you. If you would rather live in isolation, this may not be the appropriate situation for you.
