one of my favorites!
i like to celebrate birthdays, wednesdays, thursdays, first days of summer, last days of winter and good beers at this place. the bartenders are awesome, friendly and nice. it's the best neighborhood bar i've found and there are quite a few around here! - amelia , posted 09/26/05

Nice to have you in my neighborhood
This is a good find! I'm glad my roommate told me about it when I was new to town. I've been three times in the last month. It would be nice to have more places like Brigid's around so we don't keep having to go back to the same place for a nice smokefree, good food for less $$ and great beer selection. Open another restuarant! Branch out! Come closer to 29th Street :) - Miss Akay , posted 09/16/05

The city's best kept secret
Briget's is a great hidden restaurant in the Fairmount area where only the locals dine. It has the atmosphere of a BYOB but a great selection of Belgium beers. - Jill , posted 05/18/05

Great bargain
Blink and you'll miss it -- this place is literally tucked into a quiet Fairmount neighborhood. The bar and dining area are small and cramped (and non-smoking), but the menu is eclectic and the people are friendly. The menu is listed by price, sort of tapas style, so you can go for just finger foods or a full-blown meal. The food is consistently good. Only suggestion: mix up that menu a bit, guys. I've been going there off and on for nearly 4 years and the menu has not changed much in that time. - Unsubscribed , posted 06/27/05

A Fairmount Treasure!
A wonderful bar/restaurant with a great beer selection, good, inexpensive food and good service. Best of all - it's NON SMOKING. Stop in and have a beer at the bar, or sit down for dinner. Either way, you'll be happy you did. - Jozette , posted 05/10/05

Smoke Free Paradise
There's only one Brigid's in Philadelphia. This Belgian Pub/Restaurant offers a wide array of brews (not Monk's-extensive, but more than enough) and inexpensive eats in a very cozy, smoke-free environment. I would recommend the blackened tuna, the pork medallions with Cajun mustard, or the tilapia. Steer clear of the crab cakes - too much filler for my taste. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and always happy to see you. Be prepared for a wait on the weekends. Take the time to relax and fawn over the varying beers offered on tap. It?s time to stop waiting for City Council to pass the inevitable smoking ban and revel in Philly?s future at Brigid?s. - Sean , posted 05/10/05

Awesome food, great beer selection
I've been to Brigid's 4 or 5 times and always had great, inexpensive food. The portions are somewhat small, but who wants to pay to stuff themselves? I'd rather pay $14 for a 8-10ounce steak than $28 for something I'll have to take home anyway.

They have a nice selection of Belgian beers and a very intimate atmosphere. 5 stars all the way. - Ben , posted 04/25/05
