It's got everything in the middle of subURBia
I love this park. It is my favorite lunchbreak spot during the week, and I go there every day. It has great trails that run along the Skippack Creek, excellent equestrian trails for those of you lucky enough to have horses, and also stocks the stream for you fishing folk. It's also got picninc tables, allows hunting (eww!), and has the American Youth Hostel, if you're passing thorugh on a budget.( Membership passes are required and can be obtained from the hostel or the A.Y.H. National Office.) The park is smack dab in the middle of suburban sprawl and shopping plaza hell, so it's an excellent retreat. There are also some fine geocaches, for you folks with GPS trackers! The park is located in southcentral Montgomery County between Norristown and Collegeville. - Joy , posted 05/14/05
