Fun Night
We went for New Years, the portions were great, but they served wine for free, and it was not good. Always BYOB here. - Jackie , posted 05/18/05

What a fun place!
The food is great and the service is even better. If you are trying to find something totally out of the ordinary and enjoy some show tunes and oprah style music, try this place. - Summer , posted 05/16/05

Great music, service, and food!
South Philadelphia is full of great Italian restaurants. However, Franco & Luigi's really sets itself apart from the rest. Not only is the food great, the service is excellent, and the staff sings. They all have magnificent voices, and perform everything from opera to showtunes. Sometimes there is also a piano or guiter player. Great place to take someone from out-of-town to show them a truly unique Philly spot. - Greg , posted 05/10/05

deliver me franco and luigi
I love to get this place delivered. They have the best onion rings on the planet and their pizza fries are really good to. They come fast and the food is always hot. I love em - sandy , posted 04/20/05

a trip...
I love the place. The food is on the simple side. In many respects, it's a pasta restaurant and that's that. But they do what they do exceptionally well. (LOVE the pollo puccini....) The place is a blast---on Thursdays, open mike night, it is like a block party. You can groan (to yourself) about some of the un-talented and wonder why some of the others are singing for free. On other nights very fine waiters sing beautifully. Something unique. Franko is terrific. - Mark , posted 04/20/05

The perfect romantic evening out...
I can't gush enough about this place. BYOB - and the friendliest staff. The waiters were singing, there was a roaming guitar player that took requests, I felt like we were family with the whole place there. The food was amazing! I had a mushroom ravioli - the flavors of 4 types of mushrooms, and it just melted in your mouth. My other half got a seafood ravioli (I think it was crab ravioli with a lobster bisque type sauce?) - OH! The flavors! Every bite was like heaven! - Roxie , posted 02/26/05

Singing waiters, Italian home-cookin, and F-U-N!!
Franco and Luigis is one of the best and most fun Italian restaurants in Philly...Not only is the food authentic, but the atmosphere will make you believe that you are just steps away from the Collosseum...

The waiters bring such a flavor of passion and comfort as they serenade customers with authentic Italian Opera!

This BYOB is great for a nice casual dinner or a more romatic meal- either way, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are big! - Alison , posted 08/20/04
