the only place to afford furniture
so glad one opened in Philly. I get everything there. Where else can you buy neat furniture and actually still afford the apartment to put it in. - Sofia , posted 05/17/05

Cheap ass furniture with commercial flair
If you don't mind living in a commercial, and are short on dough, this is the place to get your furniture, plants, pictureframes, etc. My favorite section of Ikea is the kitchenware area. My little family appears to be quite suseptible to dropping and breaking dishes for some reason, so Ikea is the place for all my dinnerware. You can also get cheap wrapping paper that's trendy and makes kids feel special. Look out for the chocolate, it's really good and will become a favorite impulse buy. I would give this place 5 stars, but some of the furniture, although cheap, doesn't hold up very well. It's great for a college dorm room or apartment, but buy something better when you finally get a better job. - Joy , posted 10/08/04
