Relax and enjoy
If you're with good folks, brought your own bottle and wanna settle in for a great meal where the service is NOT focused on turning over your table-go eat, relax, enjoy. It's one of the best places in town for a long lingering chatty meal, if you're not uptight and in a hurry. Warning, if you eat inside, the lighting is pretty bright. - miss fidget , posted 10/10/06

A Taste of Jamaica
Can't afford to go to Jamaica but you want to experience the cuisine, then this is where you go. The food tatse as though someone flew over and brought it back. Service is sometimes slow as everything is fresh. - Tomika , posted 05/18/05

Tasty but Slooooow
Good food but pretty consistently poor service. Go with time to spare and an easy-going attitude. Bringing some rum to add to their fruity drinks really helps. - Rachel , posted 05/17/05

Ya Man!
In yet another of Philly's great cheap unique ethnic food places, the Jamaican Jerk Hut offers lots that will not disapoint. They typically have a vegetarian option, and there is always something that you can not find anywhere else. This place is definitely worth the visit. - d , posted 05/17/05

Great dinner
I just ate a curry chicken roti and it was soooo good. I am so full and my boyfriend and I split it. It was reasonably priced and so so so good. I would go there again for sure - sandy , posted 04/20/05

Perfect for a summer evening, Jamaican Jerk Hut
Perfect for a lazy summer evening, Jamaican Jerk Hut's porch and grassy back yard remind some folks of being on Montego Bay. The atmosphere, service and food are very casual. (On Fridays and Saturdays the vibe is amped with live jazz or reggae bands.) - emily , posted 07/14/04
