After 2 years in Philadelphia, I finally found a place where my hair gets cut correctly! All of the technicians I've had do my hair have done an excellent job, and at a great price. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. Donuts are offered in the waiting area, and classic rock plays on the sound system. Michael's Custom Cuts is owned and operated not by one, but by *two* Michaels, father & son. Grandfather was also Michael, and also owned & operated the place in his day. With three processing chairs on the main floor, and another four just up the spiral staircase, there are plenty of spaces. Still, they're very busy - particularly during the school year - so be sure to make an appointment! These folks do everything; cuts, coloring, various other chemical processing, and the prices are all quite reasonable: $15 for a regular haircut, $18 with a wash. - Raaven , posted 05/15/05 |
