bad tofu scramble
This place has one vegan dish, tofu scramble. Every time I have had it I have thrown up... granted I was hung over every time I've had it, but still curried tofu isn't a good choice for brunch. Plus all the oil they put on it. Nasty. - Justin , posted 08/21/05

Come for a weekday treat
What a lovely place. Pity they don't have more space - waits are up to 1.5 hours on the weekends. Come, if you can, during the week. - Rachel , posted 05/17/05

Yum Yum Yum...
I live outside the city, and the Morning Glory is one of the few places that I consistently crave. They have some of the best vegetarian breakfasts that I have ever had in an old style diner in the middle of a typical city neighborhood. Go - enjoy the huge plates of yummy breakfast treats at prices that can't be beat. - d , posted 05/17/05

Amazing food, lengthy wait
The food here is wonderful, especially the biscuits. The portions are huge, the price is good, and the servers are usually on the ball. If you go on a weekend morning, be prepared to wait - sometimes for a long time, especially if you are in a larger group. Also, twice now our group has waited and waited and finally realized that they have somehow skipped over us on the list. Once I had to reassure the host that no, we were still waiting and we weren't already inside, like he thought. - Unsubscribed , posted 05/14/05

Best Breakfast
Morning Glory Diner rules my face. While the wait to get in can be lengthy, it is well worth it. Everything I have ever ordered there has been bangin'. I'm an especially big fan of the monkey French toast and they have some of the best mac 'n cheese in city...5 cheeses, I tell you, 5 cheeses! AND they make their own ketchup. If you sit at the counter, you can watch your order being cooked...like watching magic happen. - Brooke , posted 04/29/05

Hello Biscuits!
I love this place! The food is definately worth the wait, I recommend you get there early on weekend mornings, or you will be waiting a good while. The fritatas are absolutely out of this world and you must get the biscuit. I love the concept of drinking coffee out of a camping tin style mug! You will not be disappointed! - Summer , posted 04/20/05

The Food is Fabulous!
The food is definately worth the wait! The tofu scramble has the best curry flavor, and they are more than happy to add things (really cheap!) like extra goat cheese and eggs. Anyplace that gives you a big chunk of goat cheese for $1.50 rocks in my book. The pancakes are huge, and the side of scrapple is kinda small. The home made hot chocolate is to die for - but order it right away so it has time to cool (or you'll never be able to drink it!). The food is definately worth the wait - but sometimes the wait staff seems like they're annoyed by you! - Roxie , posted 02/26/05

worth the wait
Take away a star for the fact that this place has become *too* popular, but the food is tasty, creative, and reasonably priced, so when the weather is nice and your morning is open, waiting to eat here will seem not so bad after all. - dextly , posted 02/22/05

A Wait for a Taste
This restaurant is great for a Sunday morning brunch, if you are willing to wait for it. It takes at least a half an hour to get in on a Sunday. The food, however, is different and tasty. Their brunch menu consists of such items as a Tofu Scrambler and French Toast with Banannas and Mango. Also, don't forget to try the fresh jam that is located on the tables. The service is also very friendly, and quick on the refills. - Maria , posted 10/10/04

Best Breakfast in the city
Nothing beats a pile of hot delicious pancakes, except when those pancakes have strawberries, blueberries and bananas! Glory cakes it is. They serve great veggie and vegan fare. Good prices, interesting staff, great food. Love taking out of town guests to this bustling diner. It's small, so you may wait for seating, but service is usually fast. Good eats, always. - mr e , posted 10/07/04
