The food here is great as is the atmosphere. It is a definite place to visit when in the area. I try to get there as often as I can. The prices are reasonable. - Tomika , posted 05/18/05 |

The food is excellent and the atmosphere very "Barbarella." Amazing sushi...fresh, creative, melt-in-your-mouth. It clearly enjoys the popularity of the Starr Chain, which means the staff sometimes breezes by you with a whiff of sanctimony. Yes, of course you are among the Philadelphia waitstaff "chosen," but don't forget you are still there to, well, to serve. - Unsubscribed , posted 05/11/05 |

I am an avid diner at Pod. The happy hour is great with the "cheap" color drinks! And the appetizers are fantastic...my favs are ceasar salad with extra wontons, spicy shrimp with pineapples and the calamari!! It's a must to eat there!! - Dana , posted 04/25/05 |

Our friends had been urging us for some time to join them at Pod. When we did, we had one of the best meals we've ever had! This restaurant is pricey, but delicious food and attentive service make it an excellent value -- a great place to celebrate an occasion. If you're on a budget, I recommend ordering one of Pod's yummy colored cocktails, combined with a fantastic appetizer like the Wok Charred Beef & Chicken Lettuce Wraps and settling down at the bar. You won't regret it. Pod's great starters, entrees and desserts make for a delicious meal. Great food, combined with a lively and relaxed atmosphere, is the best antidote for a rough day or week at work. We loved: the sesame crusted scallops and tuna Ceasar Salad. We wanted to lick the plate on our special Tuna entree and Wasabi crusted filet mignon. We recommend: The three-tier dessert sampler We're looking forward to our next visit! - Kristina , posted 04/25/05 |

You're certainly going to spend good money when you visit this restaurant, but the creativity of the menu and presentation is well worth it. Great if you go with a group and sit in one of the colored pods. - Mary , posted 03/16/05 |

While Buddakan is my favorite Stephen Starr establishment, I have to say Pod runs a close second. Melt in your mouth sushi (my favorite sushi spot in Philly) is to die for here. And if you like wasabi, go for the filet with wasabi mashed pototoes. Good first date choice, guys. 3636 Sansom St. Center City. - liz , posted 10/09/04 |
