Great place for Brunch!!!
I went here for a Valentine's Day Brunch to escape the commercialized holiday. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is charming. It is a small quaint hub in the middle of the Italian market that is sure to delight the brunch enthusiast! - Summer , posted 04/20/05

don't bring a crowd
When I lived in South Philly, I ate here nearly every weekend. Sometimes twice. Don't try to eat their whole gooey french toast/pancake specials by yourself, though. It's best to split these with someone else along with something slightly healthier (maybe the Bella Vista omelet). The notorious "Sabrina's Wait" is really only a problem when your group is 3+. Bring one friend or your significant other and you'll rarely wait more than 10-15 minutes. Dinner is a surprisingly pleasant and intimate affair - BYOB. - Erik , posted 04/20/05

Fabulous Breakfast/Brunch
I have breakfast there at least twice a week. And, I don't think I've ever had the same thing twice. Their specials are so creative and wonderful. Plus, their potatos with onions can make anyone break their atkins diet. - Mary , posted 03/15/05

yes
The wait is long, they need some heaters out there, but the service, the creative food, the decor is great. - Ajayi , posted 03/06/05

Worth ANY wait!!!
This place was so fabulous. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast of the day (today was Strawberries, Cream Cheese, and almonds, topped with orange maple syrup and blueberries) - it was HUGE! They make latte's here ( you can even order one while waiting for a table - what a plus! ) - and the eclectic (sp?) cup sizes amused me. The polenta fries (chunks of jalepeno polenta deep fried served with a pizza-type sauce) were HUGE for only $3.75! Everything was tasty and fresh (yum...fresh squeezed OJ), and we even ran into the manager out buying stuff at the italian market! The topper on this was that the waitstaff was SUPER friendly, and more than happy to take care of anything and answer the bazillion questions I threw at them (don't worry - I tip well for it!). So far - it's my favorite in the city! - Roxie , posted 02/26/05

Bangin' FOOD
This place is awesome for breakfast and brunch. If you love large portions this is the place to go. My husband loves the turkey sandwhich and I love the way they fix their eggs (with any food you prefer mixed in them) and their big fluffy pancakes. - Stacey , posted 12/09/04

Sabrina's
For breakfast, choose from apple and sharp cheddar omelets, whole wheat pancakes, homemade granola and tofu scramble. For lunch, try a big Caesar salad with roasted reds, a turkey Reuben, vegetarian cheese steak, meatloaf platter (served with baked apple), cinnamon and sugar sweet potato fries and a mug of hot chocolate. Dinner is ambitious beyond little Sabrina's means. Stick to daytime dining. - Unsubscribed , posted 10/11/04

Brunch that's tasty AND affordable
Philadelphia likes to brunch, there's no doubt about that. You can swing a Sunday meal as sedate as a muffin in Rittenhouse Square and as swank as a 4-star experience at the Four Seasons. Discerning Center City residents eschew fancier digs for the Italian Market's house-turned-restaurant Sabrina's Cafe. Long lines and waits don't lie, this neighborhood gem is worth the wait. Huge slices of brioche french toast stuffed with caramelized fruit will fill you for hours and only set you back about $8! Servers understand how long you waited for that coveted table, and tend to you promptly and politely. If you're looking for a place to laud (or run from) the excesses of Saturday night, then put on your sunglasses and give Sabrina's a try. - Alex , posted 10/08/04

Great brunch spot if you don't mind the wait
This place is a cafe located in the heart of the italian market area. Weekends are always packed but well worth the wait. I am telling you that the banana stuffed french toast with farmer's cheese is simply orgasmic....sigh. while you are waiting go around the corner and grab a coffee at Anthony's. - Flo , posted 10/07/04
