Spring Garden
Considering it's the only thing in the neighborhood, it's good it's there, but there is much Italian in South Philly! - Dino , posted 12/07/06

Lowest common denominator food
This is pre-packaged, over-salted, corporate food that is considered Italian only because it has tomato sauce. This is not what real Italian food is like. - Bill , posted 07/11/06

Good food, good time, good god
Living close to the city I visit any chance I get, and I always try to go to the Spaghetti Warehouse. I don't know if it's the style of the resturent or what but I have always held their food in high regard. Great . - Jeff , posted 07/08/06

You can do better
Considering this restaurant is in Philadelphia it is odd that the food isn't that great. The food is about the same or a little worse than what you could make with a pasta pot and a can of pasta sauce. The sauces are often runny and it seems that sometimes the extra wet pasta makes all the sauces taste the same.
The only redeeming item on the menu is the Italian Wedding Soup.
The atmosphere is nice at first but then looks a little manufactured and corporate (think TGIFridays). The warehouse look is spacious co you won't feel cramped or claustrophobic. They also have a private room for groups/parties.
Service can be good but sometimes a little too talkative.
Prices are reasonable but not a great value considering the quality of the food.
The only people I would reccommend this to are tourists who want an easy, safe and non-risky meal at a reasonable price.

If you want really good Italian food go to South Philly and walk into any restaurant near the Italian Market you have a 100% chance of doing better than this place.

Not to be a jerk but Spaghetti Warehouse isn't really in south philly as the listing says: Spring Garden is actually north of City Hall - Ahamed , posted 05/17/05

Fun atmosphere but rather bland food
I used to come here a lot because they have free parking in back and the atmosphere is really fun. The restaurant is a converted warehouse with really high ceilings and even an entire trolley inside that you can sit in to dine. The Italian wedding soup and bread are very good, but a lot of the pasta dishes I've had were really watered down and lacked flavor. - blank , posted 05/17/05

SPACIOUS
IF YOU ARE ITALIAN , THEN CHANCES ARE YOU HAVE HAD BETTER FOOD. HOWEVER,IT IS A FUN PLACE FOR KIDS. PARKING IS ALWAYS EASY TO FIND! I HAVE NEVER HAD TO WAIT TO BE SEATED AND EVERY TIME HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELECT A TABLE. IT IS FUN TO SIT IN THE WINDOW OR ON THE BUS. IT IS A GREAT PLACE FOR PARTIES AND MEETINGS OR CONVERSATIONS BECAUSE THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE BETWEEN THE TABLES. - CATHERINE , posted 05/17/05

Not bad, not outstanding!
This place has good food, not great food, but good. The service is okay. It can be a little loud sometimes for intimate conversation. My date-impaired husband took me there on our first date, then back again to propose one year later, so I do have sentimental reasons for still going. - JAK , posted 05/17/05

Tourist trap delux
Truly blah food served by just wonderful folks, overpriced drinks, and people who are curious if the place was here when George Washington was.

A great place for a date or a meeting where human interaction is the only goal, no pretense of good food.

Good happy hours and free parking save the joint, however. - Unsubscribed , posted 05/09/05

just like the olive garden
This place is your run of the mill chain restaurant-type of food. It's not bad, but it's not homemade! The lobby is fun, with some arcade games. I would recommend going to an authentic Italian restaurant instead. - Kristi , posted 04/30/05

Nifty place
Food was okay, but the service was great. Delicious desserts and a nice atmosphere. I would try this one again sometime. - Arianna , posted 04/20/05

how about those portions though?
Massive portions make Spag Warehouse my all time favorite for big-plate Italian. - Matt , posted 02/18/05

oh please with the Spaghetti Warehouse already
Too damn big. Overcooked pasta with sauce that belongs on pizza. Wouldn't last two days in Rome.
Fun for the kids however. - **Pete** , posted 02/10/05

Excellent Italian food.
Excellent Italian food, good atmosphere, cheap food, good drink specials, very nice restaurant/bar.
Excellent service and selection of food, very nice servers. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Good desserts, a wide selection of alcohol and liquor.
A good family restaurant and a place to take your friends! - Newt , posted 10/07/04
