i'm impressed!
The food was really good. we love to get the bbq platter. Everything is really cheap and the decor was cute. This is a great place to bring friends/family. Only downside, not the place to go to for Pho. - kim , posted 09/05/06

Wonderful food
This restaurant and the one across the street (Vietnam Palace) have really similar menus and both offer wonderful food. Vietnam has slightly nicer decor, and the lime chicken entree and tofu rolls are terrific. Its great to go next door to Zen Tea House for dessert and boba tea. - blank , posted 05/17/05

Great Vietnamese
Found on the edge of China Town, Vietnam offers some of the better Vietnamese food in the city. For me, the great vegetarian dishes, and yummy coctails consistently make Vietnam an enjoyable experience. The menu has something for everyone though, and the visit to China Town never disappoints. - d , posted 05/17/05

Better than in Vietnam
We took my daughter and her husband here after they came back from Vietnam. They raved that the cooks here made more delicious food than anything they had in Vietnam. These folks wil accomodate almost any dish to be vegetarian, substituting tofu for meats, or making the dish with veggies only. - Lois , posted 05/17/05

Dependable, tasty, good service
If you love Vietnamese food, or are just trying it out, this is the place to go. It's consistently rated well. They do it all, and service is good. Pho is good here, noodle dishes, green papaya salads. And don't forget the specialty drinks. - Randy , posted 05/02/05

I love Vietnam!
This is the restaurant I most often go to in Philly - and I love it! Great pho bo... it's in the broth - fantastic. Their stuffed grape leaves are a favorite too.

Killer Vietnamese Spring Rolls! (vegetarian)
I don't usually recommend a restaurant based on one dish, but Vietnam's spring rolls are to die for. If I happen to eat there without the rest of my family, and come home empty-handed, I dare say I'm sitting on the lumpy side of the couch for the next few days. Being a vegetarian, I've never really tried any of their other dishes, but my boyfriend raves about their stuffed grape leaf concoctions as well. So, I drive home with beef-smell filling the car, because I know that if those things are half as good as the spring rolls, I'd be doing him an injustice if I showed up without a little styrofoam box. I hear that Vietnam also has a karaoke night, which is bound to be interesting. Do not confuse Vietnam with the Vietnamese Palace across the street. I hear they are a world apart(!). For those going to a show at the Troc, this is relatively closeby, and definitely worth it. - Joy , posted 10/08/04

Best Vietnamese in the City!
Whether you want a bowl of delicious beef broth and noodles (pho) or AMAZING spring rolls, Vietnam has a huge menu and they make everything with attention and precision. The food is amazing, the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice. Did I mention that the prices are VERY VERY reasonable! Go here for Vietnamese! - Sara , posted 10/06/04
