Quiet, peaceful
And always a place to sit (unlike RH). If it's a weekday or Saturday afternoon, take a very short walk to the Curtis Bldg (entrance on 6th) and be amazed by LC Tiffany's 50' long mosaic mural of Parrish's "Dream Garden." - Unsubscribed , posted 06/20/05

One of the cafes our refer to, Washington Square
and I'd highly recommend this one for a lovely escape from your stressful day job or when you need a break from your school schedule. Recently, my co-worker and I dined there for lunch and it was like a breath of fresh air. Service, phenomenal, food delicious and atmosphere was delightful. - Marilyn , posted 10/18/04

Nice park without the crowds
If Rittenhouse is too crowded for you, try Washington Square. Beautiful trees, cafes nearby. - Erin , posted 10/17/04
