the first time i came to philly i refused to go home from the bars and made my friend drop me off at emerald city even though i had never been there before. what can i say...emerald city had me at hello. i would never go there before 2:15 though and it should be open longer. - Johnny , posted 05/16/05 |

Depending on the event it can be $$ but, some GREAT nights go on there & they have very nice bathrooms!, sometimes they're attended. If you've ever been in a nasty club bathroom you'll appreciate this. - Unsubscribed , posted 04/22/05 |

i dont know the exact location cause i always get there after im already trashed from somewhere else. you come out of the club and someone hands you a flyer for emerald. blag your way into the vip entrance if you can, cause you really dont want to pay 10 bucks to get in for an hour....its not that hard. you gotta network. once inside its all cruising and boozin. booty shakin and hooking up. its all rather vulgar and nasty really. big dark rooms, alot of grinding and hooking up and asses hanging out. but you know, sometimes you need that. join in the fun or take anthropological interest. or lean against the bar, and talk to someone about how above it you are. its a mess in there, but its important to explore the various underbellies of philadelphia. i mean, sometimes its just to the point where its absurd as all anything, and its the kind of place where people who've seen everything see the stuff they've seen, nah mean? - bidi , posted 10/07/04 |
